Outokumpu Technology Pty Ltd has begun the manufacturing of Pannevis horizontal vacuum belt filters (HVBF] in Australia. The Pannevis RB-COV and RT filters are designed to overcome many of the conventional problems affecting the efficiency of HVBFs in miineral processing and chemical industry dewatering applications. Improvements to their design include enhanced hydaulic capacity and energy efficiency, higher cake purity and reduced mechanical complexity, all providing both installation and maintenance cost benefits. Pannevis became part of Filtration Technologies, a member of the Outokumpu Technology Group, in August 2001.
