:: Larox Received Significant Filter Orders from Mining Industry Larox has been awarded several contracts to supply filters to mining and metallurgical companies in Australia, Canada, China and Spain. Total value of the orders for different types of solid/liquid separation, filtration equipment and ancillaries is approximately 6 million euros. Orders were booked for the second quarter of 2006. Deliveries will take place during the second half of this year and during the first half of 2007. First Quantum Minerals, Australia, has ordered a Larox PF Automatic Pressure Filter for copper concentrate filtration at their Frontier Copper mine in Democratic Republic of Congo. This will be the fourth filter delivery from Larox to First Quantum’s mines in different countries. The order for a Ceramec Capillary Action Disc Filter from Oceana Gold Limited in Melbourne, for their new mining development at Globe Progress in the Reefton Goldfield, is destined to filter gold concentrate in the South Island of New Zealand. Canadian Teck Cominco Ltd., operator and 40% owner of the Pogo gold mine in Alaska, USA, has ordered a third Larox PF Automatic Pressure Filter for tailings filtration. Pogo was commissioned earlier this year. The deliveries to China consist of two Scheibler Polishing Filters for copper electrolyte purification at Jinlong Copper and Daye Nonferrous Metals. The order from Duro Felguera Plantas Industriales S.A. in Spain is for five units of Scanmec Rotary Vacuum Disc Filters and a large package of auxiliary equipment for their turn- key iron ore concentrator plant project. The end customer is C.V.G. Ferrominera Orinoco in Venezuela.
