:: Larox Wins Major Orders for Deliveries to Southern Africa Larox has secured five new significant contracts worth a combined 7.5 million to supply filters and a turnkey filter building to mining companies in Southern Africa. Orders were booked for the third quarter of 2007. Deliveries will take place during 2008. Outotec Oyj, Finland, has ordered Ceramec disc filters for their project to be delivered to the Republic of South Africa. This is the third pelletising and sinter plant order Outotec has been awarded from Samancor Chrome. The new plant will produce 600,000 tonnes of sintered pellets annually from chromite ore and it will be built in Middelburg. The plant is expected to be commissioned towards the end of 2008. A nickel mine has placed an order for a turnkey supply of a filter building. This is complementary to the order received during the first quarter of this year, which consisted of a large size Larox PF vertical pressure filter for nickel concentrate filtration. Two Larox PF filter deliveries to South Africa and the one to Zimbabwe are all for platinum concentrate filtration. To all these projects Larox was able to offer well-known and approved filtration technologies. The received orders strengthen further Larox's position in Southern Africa especially in PGM concentrate filtration.
