Solid-Liquid Separation
by Ladislav Svarovsky (Editor)
Review:
From Book News, Inc.
Svarovsky (chemical engineering, U. of Pardubice, Czech Republic) has revised his manual to accommodate changes in the now three-day course (down from four days) held annually in Bradford, England and in-house in companies worldwide that it's written to accompany; it will also be useful for engineers and research scientists. The fourth edition omits the sections on magnetic separation, flotation and deep bed filtration. The sections on solid-liquid separation, gravity clarification and thickening, vacuum filtration, centrifugal filtration and countercurrent washing have been substantially revised and new chapters have been added on cake washing and separator series and networks.
