:: Loulo Mine ACACIA CS2000 Order The Loulo Gold Mine in Mali has become the latest in the rapidly expanding list of African based gold producers who have selected a Consep ACACIA Reactor as a means to treat the high grade gravity concentrates produced by their existing pair of Knelson KC-XD48 concentrators. “This order comes after having worked with Loulo met staff over the past 5-6 months to conduct Acacia testwork to confirm the efficacy of the system that will process the gravity concentrates produced by their Knelson XD48 units” stated Peter Simpson; KGS Technical Sales Manager for Africa. “Pilot scale tests indicate that the Acacia Reactor will provide recoveries in excess of 98% which is very much in-line with the rates being achieved at our other African Acacia sites” added Simpson. The addition of the Acacia CS2000 system at the Loulo mine brings the number of Acacia systems in service in Africa to 14 and globally to 57. The Loulo Mine is 80% owned and operated by Randgold Resources of South Africa. The mine hosts proven and probable gold reserves in excess of 7 million ounces.
