Talvivaara Mining is developing two polymetallic deposits, Kuusilampi and Kolmisoppi, in Sotkama, easterm Finland.

Talvivaara is a world leader in bacterial leaching technology and it hols one of the largest known sulphide nickel resources in Europe, with 336 Mt of ore in measured and indicated categories. In the November 2008 issue of International Mining, John Chadwick gives examples of rsource and supplier companies working together to bring some of the best technologies to bear on an important project.
