The processing of precious metal ores and concentrates will be discussed by experts from all over the world in Cape Town in November. Precious Metals '04 is sponsored by the South African giant, Impala Platinum, and is organised by Minerals Engineering International.

As well as papers from African operations and research institutes, there are papers from North and South America, Europe, Australia and Asia.

The first day of the conference focuses on Plant Operations, and Applied Mineralogy, the final two days containing two one-day symposia, the first on the flotation of, and the second on the hydrometallurgical processing of gold and PGM ores.
