:: Union Resources Strikes High Grade Ore And Selects Processing Method Australia's Union Resources Limited has announced the intersection of high grade zinc mineralization, and selected its zinc processing method for the company's Mehdiabad Zinc Project in Iran. The high grade zinc mineralization was encountered in Hole 8317 located on the western side of the Mehdiabad Deposit, which intersected 67 meters at 11.22% Zinc, 2.28% Lead and 79 grams per tonne of Silver from a hole on the western side of the main zinc resource. The Managing Director of Union Resources, Mr Rob Murdoch, said that in addition the company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Tecnicas Reunidas, S.A. of Spain, to allow the use of TR's Modified ZincexTM Process for the Oxide Plant that will be central to long term production at Mehdiabad. Under the Memorandum, TR will supply several work packages, such as carrying out pilot plant studies and performing a techno-economic package that will in effect design the Oxide Plant at the Mehdiabad Zinc Project in Iran. Assuming the pilot plant test work is successful, and after extensive laboratory testing in Australia, UCL anticipate that TR will provide a process guarantee for the plant.
