![]() :: 94% Recovery of Minus 1.5mm Diamonds.... Falcon in conjunction with Bateman laboratories conducted tests using diamond tracers of specific gravity 3.53 to examine how efficient the high g-force Falcon technology would recovery these fine diamonds that are most commonly discarded from the large diamond plants around the world. Tracers of 0.8 and 0.6 mm were used and found that Falcon technology could easily recover these small diamonds from kimberlite tailings. A slurry was made up using existing kimberlite tailings and a known quantity of tracers added. Falcon recovered 94% of the tracers from this simulated tailing into 0.37% mass yield. This opens new doors for Falcon and groups that are examining the possibilities of treating minus 1.5 mm diamonds. Diamond tracers are also available from Bateman Laboratories in South Africa through Peter Cook who also has the facilities to conduct Falcon testwork on your kimberlite tailing.
