:: Minerals Engineering- Online submission of Papers Elsevier is committed to migrating its journal publication process to a fully electronic workflow. The underlying motivations are to improve the competitive edge of the journals, and to react to what is becoming a common trend and expectation in the market. This implies that the editorial process, production and distribution will all operate electronically. We are therefore please to announce that the journal Minerals Engineering has implemented a system for electronic handling of research papers during the submission and peer review process, starting as of 1 January 2005. This Elsevier Editorial System (EES) is a web-based system with full online submission, review and status update capabilities. EES allows you to upload files directly from your computer. As of now all authors and reviewers will be invited to submit their manuscripts and their reviews electronically. The Journal Home Page, www.elsevier.com/locate/mineng, accessible via the Author Gateway link, contains all details of EES, including its Guide for Authors for manuscript submissions. As a service to our authors and reviewers, we have pre-registered on the EES site all recent authors and reviewers for whom we hold an e-mail address. In this case you have received an e-mail informing you about your username and password which you need to access EES. EES can be accessed at: ees.elsevier.com/mine We welcome your feedback on EES and value your continuing contributions to Minerals Engineering as an author and as a reviewer.
