Senior Metallurgist  [September 27, 2021]

Location: Perth, WA, Australia

Our client, a dynamic growth-oriented company is focused on the delivery of a portfolio of mining projects in Western Australia that will position them as a mid-tier base metals producer within the next 5 years. Currently finalising studies for the construction and commissioning of the processing and production facilities for their first operation, they have embarked on operational readiness activities as they seek to commence production in Q1 2023.

Reporting to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager, you will be a key member of the team responsible for the safe and effective operation of an SX/EW plant, and a significant Heap Leach facility including all aspects of irrigation and liquor management.

Apart from having a can-do and creative attitude to your work, you will possess demonstrable leadership capability to support leading edge performance from your team in support of achieving budgeted safety, construction, production and cost outcomes. In addition, you will be a degree qualified metallurgist or chemical engineer with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working directly with SX/EW processing and production facilities.

This is a pivotal role in the operation and will appeal to someone looking to progress quickly with a rapidly growing company and forge a lasting legacy within the minerals processing industry. An attractive salary package including long and short-term incentives will be negotiated.
